Then, our initial excitement became worry and concern that the deal would not close. The buyers requests were reasonable at first, but as we neared the close of escrow, one particular problem with a neighboring property seemed to throw an insurmountable obstacle in our path to a successful closure of the deal.
We want to commend Troy on his initiative and creativity in solving this problem. Admittedly, we are not the most patient of people, and if it had been up to us, everyone would be angry and unsatisfied! However, Troy worked through this issue with perseverance and professionalism. His challenge involved dealing with the agent for the buyers, the agent for the neighboring property, and the buyers themselves. He shouldered most of the worry himself by involving us with the big decisions, handling all the
annoying smaller issues alone.
All real estate transactions have issues that must be addressed, but our situation seemed to be more troubling than some. The success is all Troys. Without his negotiating skills and willingness to stick with it until resolution, we would be back in the starting block, dealing with all of the uncertainty and stress that goes along with selling a home in today's market.
